In our world, everything has mass! From small things like an ant, a bird, a book, and a brick… to big things like you and I; a lion, a mountain, and even a blue whale. They all have mass.This Miniclip introduces young students to the concept of mass and links it to everyday terminology like ‘light’ and ‘heavy’. Students will learn to identify objects that have a large mass or a small mass, and will order objects from least to greatest mass. They will also be introduced to an equal arm balance scale and learn how the pans fall, rise, or stay level depending on the mass of the two objects being measured.
