Faith is a 10-year-old girl who lives in Ajax, Ontario with her family and dog, Kallie. Her family is from Jamaica and Barbados. She loves dancing - she's been dancing since she was a baby! At her dance class, she introduces us to Afro Beats, a West African dance style, and demonstrates some of her favourite moves. Her special surprise comes from one of her role models who is almost as passionate about dance as she is! Back home, Faith shows us her carnival outfit and book collection. She loves books too - especially ones about Black superheroes! She loves reading so much that she started her own book club with her friends entitled This Little Black Girl Reads. After a tour of the local library, Faith brings us to her aunt's house for a big family dinner with her favourite Caribbean dishes - yum! Sunny's Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country. Each episode showcases a different child and their unique perspective on their day-to-day hobbies, their talents, and heritage.
