The six-pointed star, the Star of David, is a symbol of the Jewish people. It is believed to grant the protection of David, an important Jewish King. Israel is known as the Holy Land to the Jewish people as this is where Judaism began. Jerusalem is known as the Holy City and Jewish males keep their heads respectfully covered when praying.
