Canadian journalist Brandy Yanchyk visits with the Metepenagiag Mi'kmaq Nation for an Indigenous tourism experience with Stephen and Florence Paul, owners of First Nations Tourism. To help reclaim the culture lost during residential school years they offer river kayak tours, medicine-picking tours, and snowshoe picking tours. Visitors can also make traditional lined deer hide mitts which Brandy tries. She also samples the bread-on-a-stick and traditional salmon meal they serve on their excursions. The Metepenagiag Heritage Park showcases artifacts which archaeologists found in the Augustine Mound.
