Making Waves introduces letters with a wave-peak shape. Bartleby writes a letter to Gom who reads that Bartleby is a surfer practicing a variety of surf moves. This program continues with a short version of "Two Feet Flat On the Floor." The writing practice includes: reinforcement for measuring margins and spacing using the index finger, the "wave" formation, the letter "i," the letter "t," and the letter "w." Capital versions of "i" and "t" are formed. The sentence is introduced: "The tide will float the boat." With the letters introduced this far, students may be able to make up their own words and sentences.
