The African folktales are How Anansi Obtained the Sky God's Stories and Talk. The African-American folktale is Br'er Fox and Doc Rabbit Build a House. Ms. Washington begins with an explanation of folktales, then introduces the first story. After the story is told, she discusses it and then introduces the second story, Talk.
