This is the story of one unique corner of the southern Indian Ocean, the subtropical beaches and reefs of South Africa's east coast. The reef is home to a variety of spectacular and eccentric inhabitants, from camouflaged predators to daredevil shrimp that clean fish in a unique rest stop. It's also a sanctuary for reproduction: ragged tooth sharks come here to gestate. And up on the beaches, female turtles have come to lay their eggs in the same place their ancestors have nested for generations - an incredible journey we witness from start to finish, as the babies hatch and begin their solitary lives at sea.
