It's September on the enchanting island of Sri Lanka.  For many animals this is a time of plenty, but for others, only a stone's throw away, life is a struggle.  Sri Lanka is at the mercy of monsoon storms that drench one side of the island while the other withers in drought. These regions are only a hundred miles (160 km) apart, but these unique climatic conditions create completely different habitats and harbour a staggering diversity of life. From butterflies to bats, ants to elephants, Sri Lanka's remarkable climate creates a magical web of life.
