William Shakespeare is one of the most famous playwrights in the world. From 1564-1616, he lived in England. He wrote a total of 38 plays in his life, including the famous 'Romeo and Juliet,' 'Macbeth,' and 'Anthony and Cleopatra.' People still perform and read his plays all over the world to this day. The Globe Theatre in London was created by him in 1598 for performances of his plays.
