The Esk'etemc people are strengthening their culture, their governance and their children. After suffering oppressive policies and having their land pre-empted, they are now healing and declaring their rightful place as caretakers of their land near Williams Lake, BC. 'Ctsenmew'scdem re stsmemelt' is the expression of a remote Secwepemc community that is taking back their power, reclaiming their heritage and culture, and telling the world who they are what their rightful place is.
