During their 250th anniversary in 1920, the Hudson's Bay Company produced Canada's first ever feature-length documentary, 'Romance of the Far Fur Country'. This silent classic captured the spirit of the fur-trapping trade. The original production no longer exists, but eight hours of its raw footage was recovered in the 1990's providing a glimpse into a hundred -year-old industry.
