Viral is a short fiction film that addresses peer pressure, social media, cliques, and bullying. The film was made collaboratively with students, inspired by their own experiences. This story is about a girl who wants desperately to be more popular, especially on social media. When she joins the popular kids, she discovers a lot more than she bargained for, as she is peer pressured into making harmful decisions, including cyberbullying her former best friends. Themes include peer pressure, social media, popularity, social status, self-worth, and learning to take responsibility for your own actions.
