Long Island is the longest - and largest island in the contiguous United States - measuring more than 3500 square kilometres. It is also the 17th most populated island in the world. With the Brooklyn skyline as our backdrop - we begin an aerial survey to the Northeast - soaring above Long Island's Long Beach - on approach to the calm waters of Great South Bay. Further, more beaches line the historic towns of Southampton, and East Hampton - shores that have been home to Native Americans for centuries - and visited by European explorers like Verrazzano and Hudson as far back as the 16th century. On the ground, we explore amazing historic sites - like Oheka castle. Finally, our journey culminates at Montauk Point - the easternmost point in New York State.
