This is a timeline of the life of the Macedonian king, Alexander the Great, one of the most successful military generals in ancient history from 356 BCE to 323 BCE. Tutored by Aristotle, he became king of Macedonia at the age of 20 and went on to create the largest empire ever assembled at that point in history, which included parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, and stretched from Greece to northern India. His victories included Persia, Egypt, and east to modern-day Pakistan.
