In Buddhism there is no single place of worship, as Buddhists can worship in their home or at a temple. Buddhist temples are designed to inspire inner and outer peace. Any place where an image or statue of the Buddha is used in worship is known as a shrine, and many Buddhists have shrines in their homes.
