This slow-motion study of one of classical ballet’s most spectacular forms, the adagio from the pas de deux , was a revelation for most audience members. It displays the control, balance and precision of the dancers’ every gesture as they move through each pirouette, arabesque and jeté . Set to Albinoni’s Adagio, the film, which features the internationally renowned Canadian dancers David and Anna Marie Holmes, offered dance students a unique tool to better understand their art form.
