In Southern Florida, a unique and complex ecosystem known as the Everglades has entered the summer season. Wet conditions and higher temperatures bring about significant changes to the landscape. Following The Season of Drought, waters flood the prairies, mangroves and marshes. Many of the 600 animal species that live in the Everglades disperse during this time, expanding their hunting and breeding grounds. Fresh water, an abundance of food and new animal life reinvigorates this tropical climate in The Season of Flood.
