Finn Mac Cool came to the High King's halls at a time of the Autumn Feasting. He gained his rightful place as Captain of the Finna of Erin by outwitting the Fiend who burnt down the hall at Tara each year. Then he gathered about him a loyal following and spent his days and nights protecting his people. Finn's fame spread abroad and his courage and strength was carried on by his sons who, like their father, fought to protect their king, land and people.
