June 6, 1944 was D-Day. Canadian soldiers took part in the largest military operation in history--[and] accomplished every mission assigned to them. On June 6, 2003 veterans who fought on that historic day accomplished another mission. They saw their dream of a museum to commemorate Canada's wartime contributions come to life. CBC News provided exclusive live coverage of the museum's opening ceremonies from Courseulles-sur-Mer, France.
