This program explores one of the oldest, most-well known and widely used mathematical relationships in history, the Pythagorean theorem. Using a step-by-step approach, this program explores the concept of right angled triangles and the Pythagoras proof using geometric squares associated with each of the sides, calculates the lengths of both the hypotenuse and shorter sides in a number of right angled triangles as well as applying the Pythagorean theorem to a number of real life applications.
