Two young boys, Michael and Simon, are off on another time travel adventure as they enter the Virtual Zone. This time, they find themselves as telegraph officers on the RMS Titanic. Mr. Sanderson, the public library's custodian and keeper of the amazing VZ computer in the library's basement, insists that the boys research the historic disaster and pass a quiz before they join the crew on Titanic's maiden, and misfortunate voyage. However, the boys find themselves with a sinking feeling as they don their VZ helmets. Will they go down with the ship? The story's action and suspense are interspersed with historical facts, and the emphasis here is on the plot. Kids will be keen to find out who survived and how.
