This book presents a version of thanksgiving as it was passed on from an elderly Longhouse orator throughout the author's lifetime. Over the years, Haudenoshonee artists and crafts people have found ways to harness that awareness in their works. Inspired by messages conveyed in the thanksgiving, their works have become a way to remind the people about who we are and our place as Ongwehowe (human beings).
