A young girl stays alive in the mean and dirty streets of the city. One night, she tries to steal an old woman's bag. The old woman fights with a ferocity the girl doesn't expect. Finally the old woman says, "If you promise to plant them, I'll let go." The girl promises and the old woman lets go and smiles. The promise has been given and now it must be kept as the girl discovers what in the bag was so precious to the old woman.
