During ancient times, Africa was filled with dozens of different civilizations--each with its own great leaders, cities, culture and achievements. Despite a scarcity of ancient ruins and written histories, archeologists have been able to piece together the continents' fabled past. This program focuses on two great civilizations of ancient Africa--the Swahili on the eastern coast and Great Zimbabwe in the south.
