Mrs. McGee and her young toddler go out for a walk and discover a beautiful garden. When she asks, "Whose garden is it?" she receives many answers. A rabbit, a woodchuck, a bird, a worm, a mole, a vole, a wasp, a butterfly, and other assorted bugs all declare the garden is theirs. Even the plants, the rain and the sun claim ownership, not to mention the gardener himself! This rhyming story explains the cycle of life and the interdependence of plants and animals in the small ecosystem of a backyard garden.
