This frog-growing adventure begins when a little girl and her mother read a book about frogs. With her mother's encouragement, the little girl decides to bring home frog spawn from a pond in order to watch some real frogs grow. Over the next few days she observes the "gray jelly stuff" transform itself into tadpoles, then not-quite-frogs and finally - frogs! By the end of the story, when the girl returns her frogs to the pond, she has overcome her initial reactions to frog spawn (Yuck!") and looks forward to seeing the frogs return to lay frog spawn of their own.
