In literature when your purpose is to really dig into a subject and get to the facts of the matter, nonfiction is where it's at! Join our hosts in an exploration of all things nonfiction, from primary and secondary sources to a survey of the many different types of nonfiction writing. Students will discover that an awareness of common features and formats is helpful when looking for specific information. In addition, they will learn that there are a variety of factors to consider when critically evaluating a work of nonfiction, such as determining the author's purpose and if the information provided is accurate, verifiable and up-to-date.
