For two days in the fall of 1942, German forces attacked Canada in the Battle of Bell Island. Beneath the water of Conception Bay, lie the war dead -- the sacrifices mostly forgotten and their graves unprotected. The wrecks off Bell Island are not sacred for those who visit them and surprisingly, not sacred for our government. That is why Rick Stanley is on the mission to protect the watery graves.
