Taney, a young girl in 18th century Dublin, has the gift of second sight, but as she grows older the other children tease her for being strange. Then she meets the mysterious Billy, an outsider and orphan with no legs. They become friends, but then danger looms as they realize an attacker is roaming the streets of Stonybatter, and attacking lone servant girls. Taney must use her powers to help stop the crimes.
