A year after the end of her last diary, Laura Brown continues to record her life under an increasingly harsh regime of carbon rationing. She's nineteen now, mostly adjusted to the new way of life and is at college in London. As tensions between the government, refugees and students escalate, Laura takes the chance to escape to France with her band, dirty angels, but she soon finds herself in the centre of revolutionary activity and protest.
