Sifting, Sorting & Selecting (SSS) was a professional learning series implemented as a collaborative inquiry focused on exploring the impacts of streaming in TDSB schools. This report is a summary of the work related ti the Sifting, Sorting & Selecting collaborative inquiry. This professional learning was facilitated with staff in the Toronto District School Board from October 2014 to April 2015. The goal was to explore the meaning and manifestations of streaming, and to work with schools to create/pilot locally developed "models of inclusion" as alternatives to streaming. Findings from participant surveys, subsequent presentations on the project, as well as research on streaming that informed this inquiry indicate some key considerations for educational models in the TDSB. .
