While their parents are visiting Victoria, Simon and his sister Ellen are left alone on the island they call home. Their father is the lighthouse keeper, and they're taking his place for the day. When they see a listing rowboat in the bay, and someone bobbing in the water, they rush to the rescue, pulling out a strange man with what appears to be a treasure map.
