This resource is about innovation in classroom teaching and learning. It tells the story, through video, of a group of Grade 8 students and their teachers who create a "Thinking Matrix" to improve comprehension and writing skills and in the process transform their classroom practice. They become immersed in acquiring critical new knowledge, trying it out in different media and reflecting on where they need to go next. Teachers and students are learning together and from each other. Learning is the work, as teachers learn about teaching and students learn about themselves as learners as well as content.
