Then they meet up with Erin, a graduate student who loves math, and hopes to be a teacher. Together they create a Fibonacci spiral, a special spiral pattern found in nature in everything from hurricanes to seashells, and even in our own ears. CHALLENGE: What do spirals do best? They spin, and so do our challengers. Hamza sets two teams spinning to create spiral shapes with their arms, like figure skaters. Then the challengers have to walk the plank without falling off. The team with the best balance wins the challenge.
