The sons of Earth King Gaborn are living as fugitives in their own kingdom, a kingdom newly invaded and controlled by supernatural beings of ultimate evil. Fallon seems destined to save the world, but when he calls on his powers to do so, two entire worlds collapse into one, yet are somehow still the same. Evil is still the same, and may have influenced Fallon's act for a terrible purpose.
