The activity cards encourage purposeful talk and offer opportunities for students to respond to their learning through writing, creating, and role-playing, while supporting and extending the skills they have learned through the Canadian communities, past & present student book. The acitivity cards are designed to be used in small groups so that students can collaborate to complete the activities on the back of each card. Includes 2–3 cards per chapter (6 copies of each) to support and extend inquiry strategies, social studies thinking concepts, and spatial skills. Designed for use individually or in small groups.
