Exploring Art begins by posing the question “What is art?” The book answers this question by saying that it can be many things. It goes on to discuss a few different kinds of Aboriginal art: sculpture, painting, birchbark biting, beadwork, tufting, and digital art. Besides giving a description of the process and materials involved, each kind of artwork featured includes a brief note about a contemporary artist working in the field.
