As Clara turns thirteen she must complete a daunting challenge in order to become a fully-fledged wildwitch, but a series of frightening attacks on her family are distracting her from the crucial task ahead of her. Clara searches for the source of the danger and finds herself drawn further and further into the mystery, towards a deadly battle with Bravita Bloodling that will leave her changed for ever.
