The 1981-82 Dunbar Poets were one of the greatest basketball teams of all time. Four players--Muggsy Bogues, Reggie Williams, David Wingate, and Reggie Lewis--would eventually play in the NBA. Their success was due in large part to their coach, Bob Wade, who had made it to the NFL and like his players was a product of inner-city Baltimore.
