The sloth is a strange animal that spends most of its life hanging from branches in the treetops. Biologist Bryson Voirin has spent his life studying them. He equips sloths with radio collars to track their movement on Barro Colorado Island. But it is on Escudo De Veraguas Island that Voirin’s research takes an unexpected turn. A recently discovered species, the pygmy three-toed sloth, is considered one of the rarest mammals on the planet. Voirin joins the Sedna IV crew on an extraordinary quest into the heart of the island that could well change the status of this threatened species.
