In this video we'll learn how to find the surface area of right rectangular prisms. Since opposite faces of the prism are congruent, we can find the area of the base and multiply it by 2 in order to account for the surface area of the top and bottom; find the area of the left face and multiply it by 2 in order to account for the surface area of the left and right; and find the area of the front face and multiply it by 2 in order to account for the surface area of the front and back.
