In this episode, the Boneheads are getting ready for the annual "Cannonbone Run," a race to raise awareness for renewable energy vehicles, when they learn that J.P. Rothbone and his evil cohorts want to terminate the race in order to protect their fortunes in oil and coal. Disguised as Evel Boneivel, a Bonehead enters the race with his rechargeable battery-operated motorcycle, determined to demonstrate to the entire world that his vehicle will be the clear winner. The program also includes an interview with Mr. Z, principle of Blue Marble Solar, who demystifies solar panels and solar energy with some exciting demonstrations. Newsflash: Children gain a greater understanding of the power of the sun as they watch a solar cell power a water pump and watch sun focused through a giant magnifying lens light wood on fire. They are reminded that solar energy is a clean fuel source and that advances are being made in harnessing the power of solar energy.
