The War of 1812 was started at Fort Malden. After Isaac Brock captured Detroit, the Americans captured Fort George, and had continued military success in the Niagara area. As battles to control Lake Eerie continued, Tecumseh, the leader of the Native forces was killed. With his death, the Native forces lost the hope of ever having a nation of their own.
