The prairie provinces are Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Alberta's rich deposits of natural resources are the basis for its wealth. Two of the largest cities in Canada are in Alberta, Calgary and Edmonton. Banff and Jasper meet at the Columbia Icefield, which is made of thirty distinct glaciers. These glaciers feed fresh water rivers that flow into the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans. Alberta's capital is Edmonton and its main industries are agriculture, oil and forestry.
