Excluded is a short fiction film that addresses social exclusion, cliques and friendship. The film was made collaboratively with students, inspired by their own experiences. This story is about a girl who gets excluded from her group of friends because she befriends someone not in her clique. After a downward spiral of feeling rejected, confused and hurt, she ends up connecting to a new, more inclusive group of people. Themes include shunning, popularity, social status, self-worth, and what it feels like to be different.
