More than 75% of Riverbanks animals have flippers and scales...there are over 450 reptiles and more than 830 fish! From incubating baby spitting cobra eggs to training "Big Boy" the alligator, Riverbanks Zoo has reptile, fish and invertebrate care at the top of our "To Do" list! Join Riverbanks staff as we dive into the deep to feed our fish and explore the secret reptile rooms at Riverbanks Zoo. ITV is working with the outstanding Riverbanks Zoo and Garden to feature educational aspects of the many wonderful animals, flora and fauna at the zoo in these educational programs! Students are invited to e-mail their questions for future programs to RiverbanksRoundup@Riverbanks.org. The great science content supports standards for elementary grades, but these programs can be valuable to all ages. Please alert science teachers to this series that has a fast-paced, interesting format that keeps students' attention and gives them the opportunity to learn more about our world and its creatures.
