Mr. Beanbody uses his Go-Back app to take Jeffrey and Lilly to antebellum America, where they witness the events that led to the Civil War. The effects of slavery, southern life and the abolitionist movement are explained. Key historical persons of the era, such as William Lloyd Garrison, Harriet Beecher Stowe and John Brown are seen and their importance is explained. Jeffrey and Lilly see the "Bleeding Kansas" conflict, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, the Compromise of 1850 and the Mexican-American War and learn how they contributed to the Civil War.
