In the final eight episodes, The Magellan Adventures, the crew and a robot named I-O board the Magellan, a galactic space cruiser, traveling into space and beyond in search of science puzzles. Ever look up at the sky on a clear night and make a wish upon a shooting star? The RealTime Science Connections crew aboard the Magellan explains the origin of these time streaking bits of space debris. The Professor also joins the Magellan to learn more about the third rock from the sun. This time the subject is the physical Earth itself, from the outer crust all the way down to the fiery inner core. Along the way they'll discover different rocks and minerals, such as gold, marble, quartz and even diamonds. So if you don't know your magma from your lava, be prepared for a journey to the center of the Earth.
