Illya Yefimovich Repin (1844-1930) û the great Russian landscape artist, a master of portraits, historical canvases and scenes of everyday life. In 2006, the South Karelia Art Museum, located in the Finnish town of Lappeenranta, displayed the artist’s collection from the State Russian Museum. More than 30 thousand people visited the exhibition, which breaks all the records of museum attendance.
