Robert Edward Lee (1807 û 1870) û American military, general of the United States Confederate States Army, a commander of the Northern Virginia Army, and a commander-in-chief of the Confederate Army. He is one of the most celebrated generals of the XIXth century. His talent as a general became a legend. His military campaigns are still learned in all military academies as an example of the tactic art.
